Parental Involvement is highly valued at Rothienorman School. Groups of parents regularly support staff and the learning of the children by working alongside us on cooking projects, gardening projects, sporting activities and library projects amongst many other things.
Our Parent Council volunteers - called the PPG (Parent Partner Group) meet regularly to further support the work of the school.
One of the main functions of the PPG is to raise funds to provide the school and the children with additional resources and activities. Some of the fund raising activities planned include fashion shows, coffee mornings, sponsored dance offs, Carol Singing, Quiz Events, discos and dances.
The PPG is always looking for new fund raising ideas.
Last session the PPG contributed over £5000 which helped to pay for Brazilian Football sessions, buses for trips, new football strips and part of a new reading scheme.
